The British War Cemetery located in Anzio holds the bodies of 2,298 British and Empire soldiers. At the entrance to the cemetery, the marble block symbol of the “Stone of Remembrance” stands out, while the tall “Cross of Sacrifice” dominates the center of the green lawn.
